only 6 things are ever happening in life: sight sound smell taste touch thought

  1. sight = always on namely eyes are open seeing
  2. sound = half half sometimes sounds sometimes quiet
  3. smell = mostly off occasionally on
  4. taste = mostly off
  5. touch = always on, movement is touching the ground, non movement touching chair bed etc.
  6. thought = half half

what is happening right now?

touch is always happening, sight always happening, but is any thought or sound arising?

mindfulness is asserting whether touch/sight and possibly thought/sound are happening right now

if i'm sitting, sight may not change but if i feel uncomfortable and change position, touch arises

if i'm walking sight changes, touch changes so i assert i am seeing and i am touching

if thought or sound arises any time, i assert i am thinking or i am hearing

enquire at any moment of change, which of sight sound touch thought are taking place

so this is mindfulness, it is a true superpower and it improves daily through relentless practice
