Pain.
Fuck, it hurts.
That sinking feeling in the pit of my stomach.
The inability to shake this dark cloud even when I’m dreaming.
Those broken strings in my heart.
Everything…
I’m a guy. I get it.
Real men don’t talk about their feelings because it’s not ‘manly’. But men have feelings too.
And if we fight the pain, we fight ourselves because our pain is a part of us.
If we embrace it with open arms, it leads us down the right path and allows us to heal.
We often extend our suffering because we overthink and create endless thought loops. Our brains are designed to help us survive, not make us happy.
That’s our heart’s job.
You’ve hidden long enough. It’s time to try something new.
Let’s start by listening to your heart.
There's an old zen saying, “attention goes where energy flows”
1-3 times per day. Close your eyes. Place your hands over your heart. Take a deep breath. Hold it for 3 seconds. Exhale.
This takes 30 seconds.
Your focus and listening will slowly transition to your heart instead of focusing on the noise in your mind. This will automatically train you to be more centered instead of in your head.
Open up your mind and body
The animal instincts inside us don’t know how to deal with pain.
It defaults to a defensive state. We shrink, create a shell, and no confident decision is made.
When you’re calm, your body language is open. So, breathe deep and stretch your chest.
It’s possible to experience pain and still have an open heart. We are multi-dimensional creatures after all.
P.S. - Guys looking to achieve surprising results by getting in touch with their bodies are invited to contact me. Attention goes where energy flows.
