I'm mildly high rn, and I forgot how incredible I feel on weed. Just so calm and peaceful. No tension or nervous fidgeting. The negative thoughts and anxiety thoughts still come into my mind, but they don't overpower me, and I can redirect my thoughts easier. The present becomes magical. I wrap up in a blanket and sit under the stars at night, and let the beauty of the universe overtake me. Just peaceful and present.
When I'm sober, I just feel busy busy busy, always thinking of 10 things at once. I nervous fidget and tense up. I worry about the future all the time.
Obviously being fried all day is not a sustainable solution (been there, done that). I'm trying to stay away from consistent weed use entirely.
I've started meditating recently, and I'm wondering how I can reach a similar mindset through mindfulness. Obviously not the increase in sensation and all that comes with weed, but just that feeling of calm, peace, presence, love for the present moment. Is it possible to achieve this? How?
Yes, 100%. You have to practice religiously.
