After much reading, talking, deliberating, procrastinating etc we have decided to attend our first event. Based on lots of posts here weāve decided BFWB Newcomers Night (Feb 23 event) would suit us best, well we hope :)
We were curious what others first time experience was like? We know everyone everyone will be different, but compared to what you expected, how was it actually attending? Weāre not expecting it to be the same as what we imagine, but I guess the question is: Was it better for you than you thought? Had you built it up to be more than it was or was it actually more confronting and overwhelming than you thought? And, did what you were expecting differ downstairs to upstairs? Is it normal to be apprehensive or are we just really green :)
From the advice on lots of other posts, weāre going into this with no expectations other than starting at āWeāre going to a wine bar for a couple of drinks and weāll take it from thereā.
Do you have any other first time advice or āI wish I knew earlierā type things?
Also, we understand itās smaller than some other venus, how many couples would attend on say a medium to busy Newcomers night? Would you say 10, 30, 50, 100 couples?
Thank you :)
