Went first time last weekend with a male partner and had a mixed experience*, wondering what it would be like to go as a solo female? It might be good for me to meet new people, and work on my confidence approaching strangers - do you think people would be receptive and welcoming? I was thinking I'd try mingling and asking if I can join people for a drink downstairs before attempting anything more intimate. Would people find that pushy or annoying? What would your tips be for a solo woman looking to connect with others at that venue? Neon Night this Saturday will match well with the outfit I was already planning to wear.
(Sidenote: I am very good at establishing and holding my boundaries, so I don't feel worried about being vulnerable, and I did feel safe there the other night.)
*I've had some people asking about our first experience, so I am planning to write it up and post here. Maybe after I go again so I can compare the two visits, if I get positive responses to the idea of going solo
