Beware RedHotPie sponsored events!
Two weeks ago my partner and some friends attended an event sponsored by RHP.
They went in to a mirrored infinity room which, it turns out, was all two-way mirrors and they were being recorded by the RHP camera crew. Without consent even being asked.
Last week photos were posted with their full recognisable faces in a foursome. As well as others we don’t know.
Some kerfuffle, we eventually managed to make them take it down, while acknowledging that they had no consent to publish them. Apologies given by the organiser, will never happen again.
This Saturday morning the same images were posted in a RHP promotion video also with fully recognisable faces, now in full video performing a foursome.
Was taken down only this evening. Damage done - some work in child counselling, so could be careers ruined.
The same photographers turned up to another event on Friday, a friend asked them not to take photos of him, the photographer said ‘I’ll see what I can do’ and kept on taking pictures.
In short: avoid events sponsored by RHP, and if you go to any event with an active camera, take it from them. They can not be trusted.

From a moderation perspective, we’ve not deleted anything. Discrepancies can be due to individual users, the modbot (checked daily as part of moderation queue), users blocking each other therefore limiting view of comments, etc. lots of other explanations available. 🤷🏻
