Myself (22F) and my partner (25M) are new to the swinging scene, although we’re not interested in couples or single men, we’re looking for a single female under 30. We’ve been to both Between Friends & Shed 16 and thought I’d share our experiences at both places for those who are interested or haven’t been before

BETWEEN FRIENDS is a great place for mingling and socialising with like-minded people, Matt the owner is a fantastic host, as we were first timers he took us out the front and went over all the rules with us and gave us a rundown on the venue and how things work - even shouted us a shot on our way back in! He makes it very clear that it’s a safe space for everyone and doesn’t want anyone to feel uncomfortable - I really appreciate the time and effort he puts in to everyone that walks through the door and makes them feel comfortable and welcome The downstairs area I’d say is a small space, with a lot of tables, great for sitting down and having a drink and mingling with like-minded people, we sat down and just watched, as it was our first time at the venue we really just wanted to get a feel of the place, watch how other people interact and see what kind of vibe the place gave off so we kept to ourselves. We had a lot of couples come and introduce themselves and sat down and had a chat with us about the swinging lifestyle and just general conversation, in saying this, every single one asked for our permission to sit down and have a chat with us which I thought was amazing! Downstairs, most people were clothed when we got there but as the night went on everyone slowly started to undress or get nude but it was such a comfortable environment, I even eventually felt comfortable enough to get down into my lingerie! Then we decided to explore upstairs, to go upstairs you need to strip down to lingerie or less - there is a shower, two open rooms (if I remember correctly) and two private rooms, the two private rooms had proper mattresses and sheets on the bed & pillows Every room had lube & condoms provided We didn’t find anyone we were interested in playing with at Between friends but we met some really awesome people

Between friends Pros - Matt the host is very professional, runs his business very well, makes sure it’s a safe space for everyone - Every single person / couple we met were lovely, always asked permission before anything, it really is a safe space for everyone - Bar staff were super friendly and always checking in to see if you were comfortable or needed anything

Between friends Cons - The private rooms with proper mattresses and sheets were a con, yes staff do change the sheets although you can still feel the wet patches through the new sheets as the wetness has soaked into the mattress - my feet were black after walking around upstairs from the floors / stairs - very small smokers area

SHED 16 is operated a bit different than Between Friends, there’s two parts to the venue but mainly only one side is open - if it gets super busy they’ll open the other side The downstairs area is spacious and more of a chill vibe, there is a pool table, bar, hot tub and sauna and a large nice outdoor smokers area with tables and chairs Unlike Between friends - we didn’t get an introduction or a rundown or rules about Shed 16 so I approached the bartender and explained it’s our first time - she was super lovely and more than happy to give us a rundown and layout of the rules Upstairs, you need to strip down to lingerie or less, once you get upstairs there’s a large open space with couches and porn playing on the tv, there’s also a bdsm room, glory holes, all rooms upstairs have a lockable door - another room has a window you can watch others having sex through, most couples are happy to put on a show in either of the rooms and in the open space. The rooms don’t have proper mattress beds, but they’re comfortable and super easy to keep clean and wipe over if needed The other side of the venue when they open it - it’s like a maze! So many different rooms to choose from, there’s another hothub and more tables and chairs to sit on

Shed 16 Pros - Spacious Venue & Spacious outdoor area - Hot tub hasn’t looked dirty once every time we’ve been - The sauna and hot tub obvious pros!!! - The staff, especially the female bartender that’s there every time we’ve been is awesome, super friendly and helpful

Shed 16 Cons - the second part of the venue not being open every time, we seen it for the first time tonight and we really liked it! - On the nights single men are allowed, there’s some men that follow around certain couples all around the venue until they have enough courage to talk to them, it comes across super creepy but most have respected us when we said we aren’t interested - Not ALL men though, only a handful, it wasn’t bad to the point we had to tell staff but it’s very annoying and we won’t attend another night where single men are allowed for that reason, I know it’s easy for us to turn around and to confront them when they follow but we want to be respectful to everyone and don’t want to cause a scene

Overall, both places are great! If you are a couple, or a single female / man looking for another couple or single female / man both of these places are for you!

If you are someone/ a couple that prefers to mingle and chat first or it’s your first time and you just want to meet like minded people - Between Friends is what I’d recommend trying first, as the downstairs area is the best place for mingling and getting to know like minded people

If you are someone/ a couple that is very straight to the point, Shed 16 is the place for you!

Our personal preference - Please remember, we are a couple that are looking for a single female which we know is hard to find and everyone’s experiences / preferences are different We prefer Shed 16 as we like how the venue is laid out and has a more spacious downstairs and upstairs whereas Between Friends isn’t very spacious We will only attend on Friday nights now at Shed 16 as it’s for couples and single females only. Saturday nights single men are allowed and that’s just not what we are looking for I feel as though Shed 16 is a little more hygienic for example, the beds aren’t mattresses and are super easy to clean

We haven’t yet found someone we’re interested in to play with at either of the venues but we really just like the atmosphere and vibes for the time being and we end up just playing with each other as a couple

Please don’t feel insecure about your body or weight going to either of these places, there’s people of all shapes and sizes!
