I need to change the spark plugs on my civic (130k, original plugs still in). Rather than pay ~150 to have it done, it looks like I can do it myself-even though I don't have a garage (ah, apartment life) or any mechanical knowhow.
That said, I'm uncertain of exactly which variety of plugs on Amazon (free shipping) I should be looking at, and even more confused by the tool options. There seems to be an infinite number of variations, with differences that make no sense to the untrained eye. I know I need four plugs, and an extender for the wrench, and hopefully I can use the same wrench set to change my wifes plugs in the near future (2001 corolla). Is a torque wrench also a necessary thing or will the socket wrench work?
Anyways, my car: 2006 Honda Civic Coupe Ex
Any/all help is much appreciated.
Edit:
Have purchased the following based on the advice below-hoping to make do with a hand tightening followed by a 3/4 turn rather than spend 35 on a torque wrench I'll likely not need again in the next few years.

Come Friday I'll either have new spark plugs installed or be calling a tow truck. Total cost ~80, including tax-just over half what the mechanic was asking.
