EDS, Joint hypermobility & strength training

I have classical Ehlers Danlos Syndrome with symptoms of joint hypermobility. I go to the gym regularly & strength train. I am doing this to strengthen the muscles around my joints so that they can assist in taking over from the lax ligaments. I have searched the internet for any information regarding strength training with hypermobility, but I cannot find much info at all. Does anyone have any experience of strength training & the best exercises or exercises to avoid?
