Does exercise really help?

Post Body

As soon as the doctors figured out that I have hypermobility, they sent me off saying I was fine and that all I could do was low impact exercises to strengthen the muscles and take over the counter pain medicine. I barely have the energy to do anything once I'm done with work and on the weekends I just want to rot in bed. I was fairly active in sports and etc. when I was younger and the pain was still just as bad, I'd say maybe worse sometimes. Honestly, I don't see it helping, but doctors and my mom think that thats going to fix everything. So, I'm wondering if exercise has genuinely helped anyone rather than make no difference or just making it worse. If so, does anyone have any recommendations?

The answer is yes. Especially resistance training, not necessarily sports. Not moving is the worst thing you can do
