Is this a common thing? My physio last time I saw him said he thought I was likely hypermobile. Today he said my lumbar spine was really stiff and compressing on my nerves.
I also have a lingering pain under my left shoulder blade he said this stems from a facet joint in my thoracic spine.
Are these common things in hypermobile people? Or are these possibly something else?
Sometimes itโs due to muscle imbalance causing muscles to guard (lock) around the joint to protect it. I recommend exercise physiology for anyone with hypermobility issues to strengthen the supporting muscles which allows others to relax.
