Is this a common thing? My physio last time I saw him said he thought I was likely hypermobile. Today he said my lumbar spine was really stiff and compressing on my nerves.

I also have a lingering pain under my left shoulder blade he said this stems from a facet joint in my thoracic spine.

Are these common things in hypermobile people? Or are these possibly something else?

Sometimes itโ€™s due to muscle imbalance causing muscles to guard (lock) around the joint to protect it. I recommend exercise physiology for anyone with hypermobility issues to strengthen the supporting muscles which allows others to relax.
