I think S20 is the most interesting Finale in the series

So I admittedly stopped watching season 20 halfway through because I just wasn't that invested in the season. Idk I think i just like watching older people mess up more, whereas watching young chefs mess up isn't quite as funny/ satisfying.

But the Youtube channel has started airing clips from that season , and I decided to just watch the finale, going in knowing who won.

There was a LOT of surprises in this finale, After seeing Megan pick her team I thought she was going to get destroyed. Trenton's entire team consisted of either black jacket chefs, or chefs who got close to making it.

Then the service actually starts and her team has the clearly better service, Trenton's team makes more mistakes, whereas Megan's team literally has 2 with them both being Josie. Not only that, chef Ramsay even states her standards match his and she's a great leader; so from a single watch it may be a bit confusing how she lost.

I enjoyed the finale so much I rewatched it and after rewatching you can tell why Megan lost and it's all in her MANNERISMS:

When Victoria wasn't fast enough on appetizers, the look Megan gave her wasn't "Be on time!" it was more "Please don't do this to me."

When Josie's first steak came back over, and Megan prompts her for a time on the second one; she doesn't answer. Megan then looks over at Steve and he has to yell to get an answer from her. She also makes a "wtf is she doing" gesture to Steve instead of saying something to Josie about not answering her.

Switching Josie and Steve is smart (she should've never been on meat to begin with) but after the kitchen has been held up waiting for steaks, she asks Steve if he can do it in 2 minutes please, instead of just saying have it up in 2.

In ALL other seasons, the winner ALWAYS has the better final team performance. However this is the one time where that's not the case. Despite Trenton having the better team on paper they had far more mistakes, but he had better control over them.
