Been watching Hell's kitchen for four years, but finally went back to see what it was like in the beginning. The first episode is a shitshow. Maybe it's because they were figuring out how to run the show, and I can see the improvements now. But why bring in people who have never worked in a restaurant before, or never cooked before? Doesn't makes sense. Obviously, every contestant now has cooking experience. Also, that first day, with all these amatuers, they gave them hardly any time to learn the recipes. Seems the contestants are set up for disaster. Does anyone know why they did this?
