It took me a lot of courage to post pictures of my gross body, but I need advice.
I gained 65lbs during the pandemic. So far, I have lost 38lbs of that by keeping my calories to 1,200 per day. I'm losing weight slowly but surely.
Right now I weigh 207lbs.
I'm 5'10.5''
Male obviously.
35 years old.
Diet for 5 1/2 months. Lifting for one week so far.
I started doing a full body workout with resistance bands one week ago. I'm doing 3 sets of 10-12 reps on each muscle group and lifting almost to failure. This is my first time lifting weights in my entire life.
One week ago I also started taking 1 1/2 scoops protein powder and 5g creatine per day. I'm eating 1,200 calories per day: lots of egg whites, veggie burgers, and half an avocado.
I am SO excited to be lifting. It makes me feel powerful. I'm committed to doing it 5 -7 days per week. I'm really hoping to see results. Of course, fat loss is a priority because you can't see muscles if covered by fat.
I'm asking for advice here on how to get buff / ripped / have a muscular body in general. I don't need to look like an abercrombie model but want to be able to take off my shirt and look impressive / fit.
Based on these pictures of my body, do you see potential? What advice would you give me?
Any motivation is also appreciated. I hate my body right now (I think it's disgusting) and am having trouble seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.
Thanks fellas!
