Am I consuming too little protein?

Hello. I gained some weight during the holidays that I’m trying to get rid off. I’m 31, 5’10 and currently at ~187 lbs. I started cutting from 200 lbs. in mid-January. I want to get back to somewhere between 175-180 lbs. But since I’ve got all this fat to lose I also want to recomp. According to my Fitness Pal I should consume around 2290 cals a day. I’m usually 600-900 cals. lower but I don’t feel like I’m starving. I’ve seen that I should consume 1 g of protein for lb. of body weight. Most days I consume between 120-170. Do I need to consume more protein? That’s already taking into consideration I take around 1 protein shake a day when I work out. I feel like it would be hard to consume 187 g of protein a day.
