Hey! Longtime lurker in this community, but have never posted anything. Call me crazy or old fashioned, but is anyone actually interested in going on a date? You know those things are parents probably did lol. Ever since my last relationship ended I’ve really struggled to meet anybody. I’ve tried dating apps and have yet to have a successful meetup, and have hardly even gotten a match. Maybe I’m ugly 🤷‍♂️, but I think I’m quite the catch!

About me: I’m a 27 year old straight white male, 5’10, 230 lbs so yes I rock the dad bod, but I’m certainly not obese. Blue/green eyes, dirty blonde hair, and while my dress style probably resembles a country club frat star my personality is very far from that! I work as a healthcare professional and truly am a smart, normal, easy going guy. I also have the most handsome Rottweiler/lab dog who is basically my shadow. Other than 420 I’m totally ddf (and have recent results to prove it if it ever gets to that 😅).

As for my likes: I like all beer, red wine, and bourbon and ginger is my go to cocktail. I like watching sports, am a moderate gamer (think Mario, not shooting/war games), a huge movie buff, and a die hard Batman/DC fan. Not hating on Marvel, I like and watch all that too, but I’m a total simp for Batman.

My ideal date #1: would include picking a quality restaurant (not super fancy, but a step up from bar/pub food. Start with some drinks and an appetizer, maybe a bottle of wine. Share some good laughs, enjoy some good conversation, indulge in our meals, and then go from there. Maybe get dessert somewhere else, or go our own separate ways if we don’t feel like there’s a good connection. I don’t like the idea that date= having sex. Obviously if things go well that’s a bonus, but certainly not counting on it or expect it just because two people agree to share a meal together.

Ideal date #2: I’m a big fan of actually doing things. I love a good putt-putt, bowling, or drink and doodle date. It gives you the opportunity to kinda express yourself more and show your personality. Could also do a combination of this and what I described above. At this point I’m losing steam typing all this out 😅.
