Hey y'all, I just wanted to give a heads up, the person behind this post is running a multi-state network of scams where they attempt to catfish users into sending them money under the auspices of "needing gas money" or "to buy the party favors" or whatever else. They obviously will keep the money and just disappear. They seem to have several active reddit accounts, as well as several burned accounts, it seems they have an account for each region they're operating in. They currently post in Arizona, Kentucky, and Georgia from what I've seen so far. I've already pulled the API call info via socialgrep just in case this person tries to start burning and deleting comments and posts.
The most bizarre part is that they use the same snapchat account for everything. brielleaaron22. Had it not been for that, I wouldn't have found the burned accounts, and later found that it wasn't just limited to KY but a whole operation. Obviously none of the photos ever posted by this person are genuine.

Once I have the proof of everything gathered I would recommend taking this to the reddit mods to try and ban/flag the IP behind all these comments/posts, as well as flagging brielleaaron22
in some way, and the images they've used so far. That will at least burn their current snapchat account (which they appear to be using their main account, since it's been the same all this time), and prevent people from getting scammed or at least having their time wasted. And they'll have to download all new catfishing photos, et al.
But just FYI, the MO is really obvious if they do change their snap account and try to run the same scam. They appear as a very attractive woman looking for immediate companionship, upon snapchatting them, they'll basically say "where do you live?" and tell you a location (likely the largest city in the state they're acting in), for Kentucky they were using Louisville, and basically immediately offer to drive to you even though they were told up front that I was in Eastern Kentucky, which is like a 3 hour drive.
Immediately I knew this was odd, and googled the snapchat handle and discovered the initial layer of the scam, while playing along. I suspect this person may be a cisgendered male, because they seem completely oblivious to how fishy it seems to act like an extremely attractive woman offers to drive 3 hours to you unprompted for sexual activity, without even knowing your name, anything about you, whether you're a creep, there's never a mention of boundaries or rules of consent, it's literally basically just "Hey, sup?" "Where u live?" "You free tonight?" "What time should I come over?"
I continued to play along, until they brought up needing money to get some party favors (the title of their post was "let's get high and fuck" or something to that effect). They said "so am I getting the <insert> here before I leave or what?" They actually went through two substances that I told them I already had, before then trying a third one. I told them I could probably handle that, and they said "well I can just get it here." I had already made it clear that I don't smoke anymore and so I didn't need anything. They said "I can get some here for $20, it's just that I'm cashless. The cash I got I wanna use it for gas to get to you." I immediately said that unfortunately I'd just transferred all the money off my PayPal balance to my mom so she could use it, and that I only had cash on me. At this point I made them aware that I knew what they were up to (at least that I knew that they were trying to scam me, have me send them money, and then disappear), after previously asking what the catch was toward the beginning of the correspondence (assuming it was a "professional" that was keeping that part of the situation to themselves until the last minute).
I told them I might be able to consolidate some different account balances from like Chime and PayPal and stuff and send 10 (I was willing to lose $10 to see this impromptu sting through lol). They said "come on babe make it $20." I told them that I am not stupid, they happened to run into someone that just happened to have the perfect blend of experience to be able to fuck their whole scam up. I'm a recovering heroin addict (5 years clean on the 23rd of this month), and while I was living on the streets in Philly in active addiction, I scammed about 100,000 dollars in one year to maintain my habit (when I eventually went to rehab, we had to calculate the money we'd spent on drugs. It was a mindfuck, just as an aside). I'd also gotten away with (and gotten caught) running every sort of petty misdemeanor/lowest-class felony type of fraud (theft by deception, fraudulent use of a credit card, etc), along with manipulation type shit like they were doing, but that I also was an avid Arch Linux user and budding programmer who was able to instantly figure out how to leverage the SocialGrep API to query every single comment where they'd provided their snap. It was botlike (but this isn't a bot, it's a real person). HMU on snap Brielleaaron22
over and over and over again. This was when I actually found out that they weren't just doing a kentucky thing, and that they had other active accounts to run the same exact scam in Georgia and Arizona as well.
They seem to have a few active reddit accounts at any time (one for each area), and when those get burned, they create new ones. It's usually a sexually themed adjective-noun-3-5 numbers, or sometimes a sexually themed phrase 4 or 5 numbers, but it always has the appearance of something autogenerated (or they're very bad at avoiding habits that can expose their scam).
Right now, they are using only4you37734 (Kentucky), lighthouse5292 (Georgia), and Anyfun2626 (Arizona). They basically will show up and post on any subreddit related to NSA hookups, swinging, etc. They will rarely telegraph their desire to come to you in the OP example, but usually they don't say anything about whether they want to host or travel until you move off-platform to snap. , but usually they just post about wanting to meet someone.
They've actually began attempting to delete comments and posts and start their burn process in the time I've began typing this post (I have a screenshot of one post in this subreddit that was taken less than 30 minutes ago, that post is now deleted, and so is the user, so i believe lighthouse5292 will show as nonexistent now.
Anyway. I have the CSV with links to the original comments and posts, and I'm in the process of gathering all the screenshots to back it up.
Anyway, I figured this went without saying, but never send money to someone you've never met under the guise of them needing it to facilitate meeting with you. It's going to be a scam 100% of the time. If it's not, if it's a genuine situation where like "well I have a car but I don't have enough gas," and you refuse, then they'll respond with "well shit, I should have enough money for gas to get there on Friday, if you're free then." Also, for anyone who's ever done so much as buy a joint in their life, this should also go without saying, but if drugs are mentioned and the money is supposed to be to buy said drugs, then IT'S ALWAYS A SCAM. I've never once in all my years of being a junkie even hear legends about an instance where someone sent money to a random someone from reddit et. al. they'd never met before, with the expected result of that person buying the drugs and bringing them to you, and it not been a scam. That shit is too unbelievable to even happen in a D&D campaign.
I guess I'll try to gather what proof I have and also crosspost this on some of the other subreddits in if possible
Well here's the snap conversation (with personal details, NSFW pictures, and stuff that I don't want falling into the hands of those that work forces edited out). Link
