6 year gym rat here, going through a long bout of severe depression.
I’ve gone through it before, but never has it affected the gym. The gym was the only thing that helped. Now, I can’t find any motivation or energy to go to the gym. I go, but the workouts suck and I end up cutting it short every time. It makes me feel more depressed. I take too much caffeine as it is, which helps a little, but not much. I’ve tried workout classes, yoga, Pilates, running, etc. in any attempt to enjoy activity with no luck.
Yes, I’m in therapy and on meds, but has anyone gone through this and found anything that works?
