My partner and I have been discussing trying a threesome to dip our toes into practicing an open relationship dynamic. I’m trans masc, and she’s a cis woman. We are both bisexual.

Our biggest problem is that we don’t seem to have any friends that we trust enough to ask to step into the bedroom with us. We have discussed trying to get into the local ENM community, but mostly it seems that the local community frowns upon people who aren’t immediately looking to date.

She is demisexual and doesn’t feel comfortable getting into bed with someone she doesn’t have some kind of connection with to begin, and frankly for a big step like this I feel the same way.

Does anyone have advice on how to go about fostering friendships in the ENM community without getting judged for not wanting to jump right into dating others right off the bat?

Are we wrong for wanting to go about it this way?
