So a little over a year ago we had about the worst experience imaginable. My wife and I entrusted a guy for her to play solo with, and he violated multiple boundaries before assaulting my wife. This obviously knocked us out of the lifestyle for over a year, but after discussing mistakes that were made, this lifestyle has now been dusted off by my wife.
So we were sexting today (since we are long distance) and she ssurpisingly said that she maybe wanted to try sexting with other guys. This was something she did before in the buildup to being with other men, and it felt like a big step forward. The issue was, she told me that she had no guys she could reach out to in her life because the old sexting buddies had all gone.
The universe must have been listening because somebody from her university friend group had reached out to her. This guy had genuinely disappeared for years and just reactivated his social media last week.
She told me they were catching up and he did ask her if she was single. Obviously she told him about us, but he still asked her to meet for lunch anyways. It's not like she was asking for permission, but I had no problem with it anyways. The interesting thing was that she said, as long as he was respectful and things went well, she may want to go dancing with this friend in the future too. She's been looking for a dance partner and my wife did end up asking for my permission for that. Naturally, I gave an enthusiastic yes, but I also told her to be cautious because the guy is clearly into her.
Not even an hour ago, my wife asked for my expectations and boundaries about this lifestyle if we were to re-enter it. I told her exactly what I like about it - that I'm only into her and that I have a voyeurism kink. Wanting to see her with men is the natural result of those two things together.
So here we are, even after a year of a break with no expectations of ever returning, and things seem to be heating up. I wanted to share this because if you have a partner that you can have open and honest conversations with, it is possible for things to get better even when they seem dire.
Best of luck to you all - happy to talk about things in more detail here or in DM if you want.
