I ended up over extended (living in Austin, inheriting a kid, and a crappy car-it tries it’s just old) on credit and now it’s taking all of my check to pay bills and creditors. The only way out is basically going the credit counseling way but I’m very concerned about the fact that I have to let debt go to collections to then settle. Once paid, it will take years for my credit to improve and I wanted to know if anyone else had this happen? How bad did your score tank? I’m right below 600 now, so I’m pretty scared about how many points I’ll lose and how long it will take to get them back.
