I've had my fair share of ups and downs with certain apps that I thought I would share with the community. These apps that I've signed up for (and paid for some subscriptions) have given me a bag of mixed emotions. I've had apps that were duds, apps where I got a fair amount of messages back and forth, and a couple that led to very few offline dates, but no further than the first date (I would state the apps, but not sure if it's allowed; I've used a handful lol).
As far as offline dating, I've carefully exchanged hints with older women who come and go at work just to practice my conversation skills (I don't like sh*tting where I eat as that would be a no-no). I haven't gotten further than just talk though. I do try to get to know the person to establish a friendship so we know what we both want.
Since joining this subreddit, I've seen countless success stories from cougars and cubs that I aspire to achieve. I've shared my own posts where I've received constructive feedback to better myself. I have learned what to do and not to do. I would think by living in an urban area I'd have a better chance at finding cougars seeking an ongoing "friendship", but haven't had success. Maybe I'm not looking in the right places around me? I understand with covid it is more difficult. I think I'm pretty sensible, respectful, and learned to be observant of a woman. Hope to hear from people in similar situations. The journey continues.
