I had a very positive encounter while at work this last night. Granted, I'm at work so theres only so much I'm allowed to do or say professionally. But despite this, it was enjoyable. For a little context, I'm a back up Quality Assurance Clerk and Graveyard Cashier and an employee owned grocery store. I had to end my QA shift early to finish my hours cashiering, as the new guy called out. An hour and a half or so, I'm not sure, and this lady gets in line to check out. Now, I love puns, they're the perfect kind of corny and annoying humor for any occasion. Her first impression is a pun. The kids in front of her accidentally dropped their change, to which she said, "Oh look they lost their cents". My half asleep, monkey brain found that to be absolutely hilarious! The first thing I noticed was the beautiful combination of eye shadow she wore; which came out to a complimentary pink. I'm allowed to give appropriate compliments, and even try to make someone's day, so I told her how much I liked it. She appreciated it and talked about her coworker who says she wears too much makeup and how she'll mess with by putting more on claiming too. Gotta love some pure, spiteful, harmless fun. I also really liked her earrings. They were unique. For a lack of better words, they were like really cool wind chimes. She said she appreciated it, and that she'd only had about two compliments on them. She then proceeded to say that she was surprised no one had complimented on her boobs yet. I naturally became a little flustered beneath my mask. She had a complimentary amount of cleavage, with the nice outfit she had on I think she was out doing things last night. Im sure I blushed. I explained that I professionally couldn't, but I could technically tell her how much I liked the butterfly tattoo she had; which she promptly "made fly". Thankfully I had my mask, because I'm sure I turned as red as an apple. As she finished paying theres some small banter, and in an effort to keep talking with her I asked her about her other tattoos and how they might have hurt. I've been wanting some, and I dont handle pain well so I've been gauging from what others say. Needless to say, I hope I can see her again sometime. She was really nice and the banter was easy to come to, no anxiety with her at all.
