I've learned a lot from this subreddit and been putting in the work to find my own cougar(s) to date, but have not been successful as I would have imagined. Being direct with the get-go of my intentions of not wanting anything serious has led to honest answers and mutual respect all-around. I've probably been on the search for over a year now through outside encounters, online apps, and just random other ways, but just feel burnt out. I've paid for subscriptions (hindsight should've just stayed with the free subscriptions), kept digging online, and have been working on myself mentally and physically to keep myself sane. It could be I'm just not getting my timing right or just striking out. Especially being in one of the highly populated areas in the US, I would've thought I would've gotten something going. I've only very briefly dated a couple older women, but nothing has come about. I look for nothing serious and just want to see how things go, maybe just friends with benefits if anything.
Any advice on how else I can be successful? Thanks for the advice and posts from this forum for me to still have the confidence to keep on trying!
