I recently had quite an experience that's left me a bit bewildered, and I could really use some advice or perspective. I'm from 24m from Goa, and I met this wonderful woman from the 38f from the US online. We started chatting for about 3 weeks, exchanged photos, and really hit it off. She was sweet, called me cute and said she found me attractive, and we spent hours talking about everything, video call, flirted, gamed for a bit. It felt like a genuine connection, especially since I'm quite the introvert and haven't had many experiences like this before.

We both knew about the challenges of long-distance, but we agreed to keep talking. It was my first genuine connection in the dating world, and I felt really good about it. I've been working on myself lately—hitting the gym, grooming better—and this connection was a nice boost to my self-esteem. I have spoken to many (younger and older) before but havent really connected with someone this mature and felt really good talking to her about everything.

However, she told me she was going on a two-day trip and might be out of touch. I understood and wished her a good trip, but 2 days passed, 5 days passed, there was no response whatsoever. and she unexpectedly ghosted me. It's left me feeling confused and doubting myself. Was it something I said or did or was it my looks? Or is ghosting just a common thing with online connections? I mean she could have just told me

Even though this has happened, I still hold onto the belief in maintaining an open attitude and spirit. Age is just a figure; what's truly important is the bond and respect shared. Whether it's with someone older, younger, or of the same age, I'm still keep hope of meeting someone. I would love to know your thoughts.
