I was a very active cougar in my mid to late 30s, dating and being involved with men 10 or more years younger than myself. I had come off a serious 5-year same-age relationship and just wanted to have fun and enjoy the company and physicality of the, albeit younger, opposite sex.
Then I met my husband. We are the same age and have similar backgrounds so we clicked. We have been together and monogamous for 24 years. Bravo to those of you doing a bit of math after that last sentence!
Earlier this year, after much thoughtful discussion we decided to open our marriage. My husband is more interested in exploring while I was hoping to reconnect with one of my former lovers. Reconnect we did and the mutual attraction is still there but he is married now and his marriage is not open nor does it sound like it will be.
So, I am wondering, for you men out there, does the interest in older women wane as women truly do become older or does the attraction remain fixed at a certain age difference? For those men in your late 40s or early 50s, do you still find yourself checking out ladies 10 or 15 years older than yourself?
