So today I looked at my fico and credit karma and noticed they both went up in points. I was scratching my head why and I seen that a couple days ago a closed account with Capital One was removed. It was a credit card, weirdest thing was the credit card was charged off and the last payment I made towards the balance was in 2017, maybe 2018. I am little confused why it was removed but Im happy it is because I hated that charge off being there. My only question is, would it be possible it would come back on the report? Cap One told me they dont remove accounts from credit reports and I was trying to work out a payment plan with them since they wouldnt agree to remove it. Dont really know what to do as Im afraid that if I pay them it will "reset the clock" as they say. I doubt they sent it to a collection agency because they guaranteed me it would only be handled by their recovery department. What should I do?
