Post Body

Hello, I have a loan that I took out in 2015. I was behind on payments for awhile, but am pretty sure I paid this off in 2017. My credit report says closed account 100% paid off April 2017. The creditor sold it to another company and that company just filed two weeks ago in the courts. I never received any documentation because the address on the court documents I no longer live at. What’s the best route for me to go? I feel like I settled with a smaller balance and credit karma says 100% paid off. I unfortunately don’t have any record of it in my email, and am trying to go through my bank statements. Not sure why credit karma would list as paid and this was just filed for nonpayment after so many years. Thank you!
