Midland Credit Management listing themselves as original creditor name on several open collections? Reason to dispute them?

Post Body
I've got several Midland collections from 4 years ago on the bureaus, and noticed tonight that they are listing themselves as the original creditor name on the open collections. Since they are not the original credit on these 7 or so accounts, is it valid dispute on them as not listed properly for deletion? Even the CFPB shows the creditor name must be the company who opened the debt, not the Collection Agency. Any help appreciated. Thanks!
