So I THOUGHT I may have ādodged oneā cause a closed delinquent account from years ago had seemingly never hit my account ā¦I was able to get my credit to just about 700 (maybe a bit less depending on my usage)..My payment history is flawless. Well a company must have bought the old and all of sudden itās on my report sending my score the low 600ās. My question IS , can my score still improve over the coming months or years with that old delinquent account sitting on my report ? (Itās probably about 4 years since the initial delinquency so itās not eligible to be removed for a few years) Will my flawless payment history and good overall usage bring my score back up over time once again ? (providing my payment history remains flawless of course) Or is this just gonna keep my score boggād down to the low 600ās till itās past the 7 year statute ?
Thanks so much I was thinking of trying an online disputeā¦but on what grounds would be best to pick ? Unauthorized charges perhaps ? (Itās a Sprint Bill btw) Balance incorrect ? Other lol ? Thanks much again
Thanks , it still has one year till its past the statute of limitations in my state (6 years in NJ) and 2 more years till it hits the ā7 year markā that it can longer be reported or impact my creditā¦but for 5 years it never hit my credit report till now š¤·š¼āāļø.

Interestingly enough they never sent me anything in the mail (or by phone) requesting actual payment for the debt .
