Hey, apparently as a male I'm supposed to eat around 2500 calories a day. I found a calculator online and sure enough my recommended intake was around that mark.
I want to start eating better so I calculated how much I would eat on average with an app called My Fitness Pal, and it was pretty high. A lot of it was sugar based. I've cut out sugar, fast food and swapped out things for healthy versions, such as 1 cal spray.
It's been two weeks and I feel great but I'm only consuming 1400 calories a day. That's between breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks. I can't seem to find room for any more food but 1400 calories a day seems like it might not be a healthy long term option.
A day of eating would be something like,
Breakfast - Porridge with honey and banana
Lunch - Chicken and chorizo salad
Dinner - Steak, veg and boiled potato's
Snacks - Fruit and oat biscuits
I'm new to calorie counting and recommended amounts so any advice would be great. I've been doing strength training 3 days a week and cardio 2 days a week. Been sleeping great and don't feel hungry or lack energy. Am I good with how things are or should I try to consume more calories ? Worried it may not be healthy for the long term as I'm kinda thin as it is. Thanks :)
