Coping technique of writing my experiences as a story

Hi all,

I'm working with my counseller on the experiences on my life which has led to an extreme loss of identity and self confidence and esteem.

I'm having to work through Regressed anger and the fact that I haven't resolved a lot of my previous experiences.

I have been thinking of writing my experiences down in a story from a third person perspective and then expanding the end with the clarity and sense of purpose I would like to have from my life.

I know writing helps trauma and I've always been a little creative when it comes to writing and stories so it's something thst had an interest.

I'm just wondering if any one has tried this or similar technique and what you think of it?
