Post-Run Breathing?
Post Body

Hi all,

I posted on here recently with concerns about my running. It is first worth noting these things:

1) I'm 25, male, 67 kg. From 18 - 23 I was very sedentary, I didn't take the stairs anywhere, and I didn't exercise. I've only been exercising a couple of times a week for the last two years. I do suffer from anxiety, and can definitely feel breathless due to my anxiety and this doesn't help. I can focus on my breathing which makes me breath worse.

2) I'm asthmatic. It's a mild asthma but enough that I can't exercise without one puff of my blue prior to exercise.

I have a couple of questions:

1) I noticed the other day that when I'm running, I can get breathless on the jogging parts. Not 'I'm dying breathless' but 'this is mildly uncomfortable' breathless. My pace is about 6'30 per km and I'm on W3D2 (1.5min, 3min, 1.5min, 3min). Is this normal or is there something wrong with me?

2) Post couch to 5K, my heart rate stays higher (110 - 130 for up to an hour. Is this normal following aerobic exercise?

3) In terms of my breathing, how long after stopping jogging should I be able to notice that I've been running? I've noticed that I still feel mildly out of breath about 20 minutes after running. Is this normal?

Many thanks in advance guys.
