Someone passes you while running and you kind of get that urge to go faster...but then you remember that your pace is your pace and everyone is doing their own thing.
I've been focusing on slowing down in these moments to help solidify this thinking. And also slowing down when I go up hill (there aren't really any hills on my usual route but a couple teeny tiny ones)...I find if I slow down I make it through the hill better...sometimes it feels like I'm going backward it's so slow lol....but I don't come out gasping for air and it makes it easier to go farther.
