I've been taking a break from the app but still working on my 5k. Gradually increasing the distance I run. Today I got to 2 miles straight. No walking.
The last quarter mile was pretty rough...some pain in my legs and a little bit of a cramp in my side...but I did it!
Also, looking at the chart in the runkeeper app, my pace was below 14min/mile for the last .75 miles (whereas the first mile or so I was in the 15ish or so range
2 miles is actually the most I've ever done without stopping to walk. And it's been years since I did that. But any improvement from here on out is new territory for my life :)
Ps:. Been stretching out really well lately before and after runs which has helped the aches and pains I was experiencing.
