Getting over this hump
Post Body

I'm not sure if all the programs are the same...but I'm stuck on week 6. A few weeks ago (week 4 or 5 I think) I was able to run for 20 minutes straight. But I haven't been able to do that since.

I'm currently sticking with the same day over and over again. It goes like this: - warm up - jog 5 min - walk 3 min - jog 8 minutes - walk 3 - jog 5 - cool down

I can do this and I've even added a little bit of extra running...but I just feel like I'm hitting a wall and I'm not progressing fast enough.

Today I went for a run without the app. It was a trail I run frequently and I think I probably ran about 9 minutes at first...then walked about 2, then ran another few, walked a few, and finished off with a run. It was about a 22 minute workout and I probably ran 15 minutes of it.

I guess I'm just wondering how normal this is. How much improvement should I be seeing? Between quarantine and the weather being nice I've been going for runs probably 4 days a week the last few weeks. How long should it take me to overcome this hurdle and get to a point where I can run for 20 minutes straight?
