First off - I finished Week 4!! It took me two weeks (and mentally getting past a spectacular failure) but I did it. Bring on Week 5!
I usually go around my neighborhood, but today I decided to try running on the wooded path near my house. It's not paved, so I found myself having to slow down and watch the path to avoid rocks, holes, a fallen tree, etc.
I still feel like I got a good workout (and enjoyed the pretty fall colors) but I'm a little worried about going slower... and the strong possibility of tripping and hurting myself. The other advantage of the woods is that the path runs along a creek, so it's pretty flat where my neighborhood has a lot of hills.
Anyone have advice about running on rough terrain? Or should I stick to the sidewalk until I'm more comfortable with my running skills in general?
