Hey all!
I got some good advice after posting here previously. I'm still on week 3 technically, but wondering what to do.
I travelled for work and worked extremely hard the week of 12/10-12/15. I ran once during that week which made me feel very accomplished with myself. But then, I walked/worked the almost 13mi and my foot was really hurting.
The following Monday, 12/18, I tried to repeat week 3 and my foot and calf were ABSOLUTELY not ready to continue. I travelled to visit my parents and was continuing to walk a good amount but was still letting my foot recover. I was physically exhausted from both travelling and working as much as I did. I tried again on that Wednesday and had a good run. Was feeling hopeful.
Then I started to feel a little yucky but like I could pull through. Figured it was all the holiday/travel food. I travelled back home, excited to restard week 3 on 12/22. Aaaand then I got covid 12/24. I'm still recovering from covid and am doing much better but still tire very easily.
Should I restart at week 1 to build up my stamina and lung capacity again? Walking too fast definitely affects my lungs still but I am improving. I'm still very congested and phlegmy. I tire easily and do get a little out of breath but can catch it quickly with resting.
I'd just like to get back to it sooner than later and am willing to start back at week 1 if that's a healthy "compromise" in my current state. I'm confident if I jumped back in at week 3 starting on Monday, I would not be capable of finishing each run interval, which is a bummer but not that big a deal in my eyes.
It seems less silly to go back to week 1 in my opinion and I guess I'm just looking for validation/confirmation/advice. Thanks again guys! You rock.
