Petplay with only pets

My partner and I (both trans women) are into petplay, particularly being the pet. We switch a lot to keep each other satisfied, but one thing we want to try is a scene where both of us are pets. It sounds fun, but outside of doing some play fighting and doing our normal pet behavior I’m not totally sure what we could do with that idea. She’s a puppy and I’m a kitty. Has anyone done anything similar and/or have any potential ideas for what we could do with that kind of play?
