Experience with an Eternity collar and a stripped screw
Post Body

Figured I'd share my experience today in case anyone else has or is considering getting a collar from Eternity Collars.

First off, the collar we had was beautiful, it was so pretty and everyone (including family and non-kink people) complimented it. Highly, highly recommend these collars.

Anyhow, the issue came today when we went to take the collar off. It appeared my sub had attempted to remove the screw on her own but was turning it the wrong way, so it was very tight and the hex head was stripped, making removal with the key or screwdriver impossible. We considered using a stripped-screw extractor but were hesitant using power tools so close to the neck. So we borrowed a standard pair of bolt cutters to give it a shot- after several attempts, there was barely a mark on the titanium collar. At this point we're a little worried we'll have to go to the ER or fire department. As a last resort, I went to a local hardware store that was still open on Christmas Eve and bought a very expensive pair of 36" bolt cutters. After finding somewhere to cut the collar and getting something protective to put underneath the collar we were finally able to cut through it and remove it with the larger bolt cutters, but the collar was ruined, of course.

The point of sharing this is a sort of PSA for people with Eternity collars- they're amazing pieces of hardware, but be sure to take care of the screws because they are very, very difficult to cut through
