I have for about half a year now been active in the background of fetlife and looked around joined some groups and followed some people. However I am now looking to meet new people due having moved and need to build a new social network. Sent one message so far to somone who I had stuff in common with, it's been a week still no reply

Questions:

1. How should I contact people, in the sense how should i approach sending the first message

2. What kind of timeframes am I looking at when it comes to getting a reply, I know somone people are very active and some not so much, the woman I tried contacting didn't seem that active. Just looking at getting like an average
