How do you feel about the use of the terms Alpha and beta being used within BDSM?

I have seen people refer to submissives in general as betas and Dominants as Alphas. To me this implies that submissives are inherently inferior to Dominants and I just don't agree with this. I think these are just two different kinks that are very compatible with each other. Its one thing if this part of a dynamic and the sub enjoys feeling inferior but I don't think sub and beta should be in anyway synonymous. I personally don't like the terms alpha and beta at all and think their usage in normal society is toxic.
