I've been shopping around through various sites for a nice set of Jute or hemp ropes and have hit a bit of a wall.

I know that I want quality over everything else.

The problem I'm facing is I like to physically touch things before I buy them and am trying to find a decent dealer that will have samples before I go all-in with my wallet. Or at least someone with a good return policy but I don't see that being viable.

If I can't get samples, I'd have to just yolo-purchase and would really like recommendations from those that have purchased rope from different sources before I put a few hundred down.

Also, I'm looking to take care of my purchase so any recommendations on rope care products from either the same dealer or a different one would be spectacular.
