I saw this https://www.reddit.com/media?url=https://i.redd.it/z78jozdiqa3e1.jpeg the other day, and the metal rings in it got me wondering if there are lingerie with built-in rings/fabric loops/hooks/etc. that would be usable for Shibari? Even if it wasn't going to be used for suspension, I'd be worried that applying just a little tension to something like the rings in the picture might deform the garment in a way that was uncomfortable or visually unappealing, or transfer the force to a very small area like the waist loop in the picture potentially causing pain/a loss of blood flow/a pinched nerve, or rip the ring out of the garment, etc.

I'm very inexperienced with Shibari and have only tried it a couple of times, so I was wondering if anyone here could shed some light on the subject. Have you tried using a garment in shibari before? How did it go? Do people sell clothing pieces specifically designed for use like this in shibari? I would imagine some of those leather garter-belt type pieces might actually work quite well if you could run the rope through the rings without causing discomfort. Are there any risks to using off-the shelf pieces? How would you determine if a piece was suitable, and what would you look for?
