When do you tell new vanilla romantic partners that you're kinky?
Post Body

Hi all,

Forgive me for asking such a cliche question that's been asked so many times. Never thought I'd run into this situation myself!

Historically, I used to always tell people I was kinky before even meeting them for a first date. As my country is small and so is the kink community, I've resorted to vanilla dating.

However, I grew really tired of sharing this part of me so early. Having to feel like a "weirdo" so many times in a row has gotten exhausting. After years and years of having a "checklist" before meeting someone (being kinky being one of them), I would really like someone who I like and likes me to not have to have our momentum ruined by an awkward conversation for once.

And, well, the above has recently happened. I met someone I really like, who really likes me. But they don't know I'm kinky yet.

Just curious what other people think is the appropriate amount of time to wait before sharing this part of you with someone?
