In my previous dynamic my Dom explained that punishments for breaking rules had to be a punishment, and not fun. It was to basically stop me from stir things up just to see him angry and get a good spanking session out of it. So he set the punishments as things that I absolutely hated. And called the things I enjoy "funishment". I could act out and ask for funishments, but crossing lines and getting punishments were serious.

The new guy I've been talking to says that it was a horrible thing to set punishments around limits, and that I had been abused. Could someone please explain?

How does punishments work? How are punishments set? How do you separate a rewarding session vs a punishment session?

Is that for a casual Ds dynamic or does it change in a 24/7 dynamic?

Is it just something just something people in hard-core Ds dynamic do?
