How do you recognize submissive men?

Hey Reddit,

I wanted to share something personal and maybe spark an interesting discussion, especially for those in or curious about the BDSM world. I’m a submissive man with a small penis, and I often wonder: can you actually spot submissive people in everyday life? Or is it something that’s entirely private and impossible to pick up on?

For me, my submissive tendencies come out mostly in private. But sometimes I catch myself behaving in certain ways and wonder if that’s linked to my submissiveness – or if it’s all in my head. For example, I almost always avoid urinals in public restrooms and choose the stall instead. I’ve read before that submissive men might feel more comfortable in less “exposed” situations like this. Could that be a thing, or is it just random?

Here are some questions to kick things off: • Do you think there are subtle clues in behavior or body language that signal someone might be submissive? • Are everyday habits (like choosing the stall over the urinal) linked to someone’s deeper personality or preferences? • Or is all of this purely a private matter that’s impossible to spot?

To get the conversation rolling, here are three theories I’ve been thinking about: 1. Body language might give it away: Submissive people might have more reserved body language – avoiding eye contact, a slightly slouched posture, or taking up less space in social settings. But is this just stereotyping? 2. The “role reversal” idea: There’s a popular belief that people in dominant professional roles (like CEOs or leaders) are more likely to be submissive in private. Is this a psychological balancing act or just a trope? 3. Day-to-day behavior hints: Submissive people may have habits like avoiding confrontation, being overly accommodating, or, yes, choosing stalls over urinals. But is that about submission, or just a personality quirk?

What do you think? Have you ever noticed “submissive vibes” from someone in your daily life? Or is this kind of thing entirely hidden and private?

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts, personal stories, or even wild theories. Let’s keep it open-minded and respectful
