Do you avoid people forever after trying to communicate?
Post Body

I've been trying to be active in my community for about four years. I've gone to munches, sloshes, presentations and play parties, and try to visit an event at least twice a month. I'll approach people in person or send a message if consent is given on a Fetlife profile. Most people that I try talking to give me the impression that I make them uncomfortable or they're just not interested, which is okay. After these kinds of interactions, do you just keep your distance permanently? I've never had someone directly tell me to keep away, but I don't want to cross any boundaries.
