I've been in and out of the scene for almost a decade at this point and I find trying to find a dynamic that takes its time to fully bloom has been my biggest issue since trying to get back into the scene. Idk if it's me and I'm reserved or if it's just the way the scene is now but every interaction I've had lately in trying to reintroduce myself has felt like immediately wanting to be fully in the throws of the power dynamic. I want to like... actually know a person, trust a person, explore, figure things out not just blindly have some weird short term thing. Idk just been feeling a little down about my reintroduction and wondering if maybe I'm just expecting too much or should maybe just say fuck it and jump in idk.
