Post Body

Hello everyone. Ive been doin rope now for a year or 2 and very much in my beginer stages but its been alot of fun i had 2 questions:

  1. Why is silk rope never talked about? When it comes to "top rope for shibari" lists and discussions online i almost never hear silk talked about or mentioned. I really like using it. It dosent stretch or collapse on itself as much as cotton and i personally never have issues with it holding knots (as long as u do them tightly and properly) so is there a downside that im missing or is it just not seen as common rope for shibari? (Of course no suspension with silk so already know that downside)

  2. I like to work mostly with silk and Jute. I have a little jute but want more. Can i just buy any random 8mm bundle of jute on amazon and just cut it down or are there diffrences i should be looking for? I.e. (this jute is meant for X so its gonna be slightly rougher then a jute meant for Y)
